DFW on Esters road and Hwy 114. Come with a full tank of gas and
be ready for about 3 hours and 70 mile trip with a lunch stop.

Classic Cruisers - As we did last
year we will have a "rally point" for the club each month at
a local show. For April this will be the kick off show of the
Christian Classic Cruisers 4/17 5pm - 8pm at North Hills

Worth Weekly Spring Rally - The FT Weekly is presenting their 1st. annual Spring
Rally and Car Show April 23 & 24 (car show on the 24th.)
Later Great Chevys will be responsible for managing the car show.
Since space will be limited this year we will have to cut off entrants
to the first 150, and cars up to 1970 model year. Entry fee will
be $20 per car. The location is at LeGrave Field on North Main near
the stockyard area. This should be a really entertaining,

Swap Meet will be held on the paved surface outside the Texas Motor

Rotary Clubs of Plano is sponsoring this event. It is being held
at Lakeside Market (Preston @ Lorimar) in Plano. The proceeds to
go toward two Rotary charity functions. For $20 you get into the
car show, plus two tickets to the Mesquite Rodeo for that night.
There will be special parking and a police escort out of Plano.

for Charity - Drive the high banks of Texas Motor
Speedway. Speedway Children's Charities will give fans what they
want from 6-10pm during the Laps for Charity. Drive your own car
around the 1.5 mile superspeedway under controlled conditions.
Participants will get to drive three laps around Texas Motor Speedway
for a $25 donation to the Texas Chapter of Speedway Children's
Charities. Multiple sets of laps may be purchased as well.

- Several club members are meeting on
Saturday at Cummins South Plains on the North East side of Highway 360
and Randall Mill Road in Arlington at 9:30AM. We will then trek
to the Ballpark as a group and hopefully park together. Be sure
to bring your insurance card if you are planning on registering.

1st Annual Frisco "National Night Out
Kick-Off" Car Show
- Located at the parking lot of Centennial High School at
6901 Coit Road from 9AM to 1PM. (Arrive and setup between 7:30AM
and 8:45AM). The car show will be part of the activities
associated with this year's Annual Safety and Home Green Fair, an
annual event in our community for many years, sponsored by the City of
Frisco and Frisco Police Department. This show will be
coordinated by the COPs (Citizens on Patrol) and the FCPAAA (Frisco
Citizens Police Alumni Association) in association with the Frisco
Police Department. Benefits received from participation will be
used to further these two volunteer police service organizations.
Entry Fee is $10 per vehicle. Cash prizes, t-shirts and plaques.

- Speedtek Performance is opening a new location at 121 and
Carson Street in Fort Worth. This store opens August 2nd, but
the Grand Opening is set for August 21st. They have installed a
chassis dyno and will be doing free dyno runs on that day.

Auto Show
- Texas Motor Speedway. Setup at 1PM. Start
time at 2PM. Ends at 4:30. Entries: Corvette, Viper,
Camaro, Trans Am, Mustang, Harley Davidson, PT Cruiser, Truck, Hot
Rod, Foreign, Classic, and anyone else who wants to show off what they
drive. Winners of each category will get their picture taken in
the Winners Circle. $10 for Show, $25 for 3 laps around the
track and $10 for a picture of your car crossing the finish
line. You must enter your vehicle in the Auto Show in order to
run laps. Reservations are mandatory. No Drive-ups.

Texas Hill Country Tour - The tour will
leave Arlington Saturday morning and meander all through the lakes
and landmarks of the awesome Hill Country to a Northern San Antonio
Hotel. The cars will stay parked and we will take a shuttle to
the River Walk for dinner. We will return on a new route
Sunday and should be home at a reasonable time for preparing for

DFW STARTUP POINT: I-20 in Arlington at exit 451 ( Collins )
- ez off and ez on. Exit 451 and go north 1/2 block to Race Track
station on the left side of
the road. This has all the parking we need, gas, snacks, do-nuts,
drinks, etc. that anyone could want. I would tell folks to be there
at 8:30am then plan to leave by 9:00am sharp.

6th Annual Southwest Airlines Classic Car
Show -
The Southwest Airlines Technology Department is
hosting the 6th Annual Classic Car Show
on September 24th from 4:30pm to 7:30pm. The show will be held
at the Southwest Airlines Data Center located at 2425 Wyman in Dallas.
If you participated last year you know this is one of the most fun and
unique events of the year. Pre-registration
begins July 6th. The fee is $20. If you register after
September 17th, the fee is $25. Pre-registration will include a
vehicle slot, car show T-shirt, one raffle ticket for prize giveaway,
3 food/beverage tickets and a dash plaque. This year's show
benefits Ronald McDonald House, Habitat for Humanity, the Southwest
