The
proud owner of this month’s feature car is John Stears.
John’s car is a 1967 RS/SS Camaro convertible.
John acquired the car in 1976 and has owned it since.
John was working for GM at the time and came across a deal he
couldn’t refuse. It seems
the original owner was trading the car in on a 1976 Camaro when John
inquired what she was going to do with the ’67.
When he was told that the guy from gas station down the street
offered $1,100 for the car, John started wheeling and dealing.
He convinced the owner to sell the car to him and save the
difference in taxes. Well,
$1,100 later, John was the proud owner of a 1967 RS/SS convertible.
John has not really done anything to the car in the 25 years of
ownership. The car still
looks as good as the day he bought it, and you can tell that he takes real
good care of her. |
