| Story: Robert has always been fond of muscle cars. His first car was a 1967 Camaro with a 327. He has owned other makes as well, but found his way back to Chevys. Robert purchased this car in Grand Prairie seven years ago. It came with a dull yellow paint job and little else. This beauty was an original six cylinder car with a white exterior and red interior, but it has now become a real head turner. Robert had the car re-painted the bright yellow with black Z-28 stripes and emblems. Robert revved up his engine by installing forged pistons and crank, Trick Flow aluminum heads, Crower cam, Edelbrock Torker II intake, 750 Holley, ceramic coated headers with Flowmaster exhaust, Crane Fireball ignition, and dressed it all up with powder coating, steel braided lines and chrome. In addition to all of these modifications, Robert included a 150 horsepower NOS nitrous oxide system. The torque converter's stall speed is right at 2,500 rpm. Robert dotes on his 1969 Z-28 clone but splits his time between his kid’s busy schedule and his number’s matching 1970½ Z-28. |
