Story:  Any gearhead worth his salt knows that the month of May brings the world’s best-known race, the Indianapolis 500. What better car to feature this month than the one that paced the field for the 1969 Indy 500. There were only 3,675 of these RPO Z-11 optioned convertible pace cars built. Danny Bayliss owns this beautiful 1969 Indy Pace Car. He is the third owner of the car. The car was originally sold in California and resold to the second owner also in California. It then came to Texas when Danny purchased the car six months ago. Danny improved the sound of the exterior by adding headers and a Borla stainless steel exhaust and the interior with an AM/FM cassette radio. Danny has owned four first generation Camaros, but hopes to keep this one for a while. The picture shown here is fitting, for Danny never misses a chance to show his pride and joy. For those that made the cruise it was really an awesome site to see this car up close.
