Story:
Terry Hicks purchased this ‘69 Z/28 beauty in the spring of 1976, before he turned 16.  It had been his dream car since he watched the Camaro pace the Indy 500 in May of 1969.  Terry was an impressionable 8 years old at the time.  His dream of owning a first generation almost didn't happen.  While searching for that first car, he narrowed the search down to two cars.  The first was a 1970 1/2 Z28 that looked brand new.  The second was this 1969 Z/28 that was pretty well used but all there and a solid car.  At the time, Terry’s plans were only to use it to go to school and work.  He choose the 69 because the ‘701/2, at $2200 dollars, was more than he thought he could afford at the time.  Terry thought making $1.95 an hour stuffing taco's wouldn’t get him all the money he needed for the ‘701/2.  He drove his Camaro through out his high school years.  After graduation in the summer of ‘79, he took the car completely apart with the plan for a full restoration. That dream was put on hold for a long time.  After getting married and having a family, purchasing homes, and everything else that goes along with it, the Camaro got put on the back burner.  In the fall of ‘97, 18 years later, the dream finally became reality. Terry says thanks to his sweet young bride and dumb luck the Camaro was finished.  His old friend is back on the road again, just like old times.  All he needs now is that under dash 8 track player.
