November 2005 Feature Car

Terry shares the story of his 1968 Camaro on:

How did you acquire the car?
I was originally looking for a mustang to rebuild they are way over priced in my book. After failing to locate an affordable mustang I remembered a guy in Burleson, Texas who had a Camaro at his house for years. So after a few phone calls, I discovered that he would sell to me the fully running and whole 1968 Camaro for 3 thousand bucks. That price was just what I was looking for. Grant it, I did have some close ties via the family. “That helped in sealing the deal”

However, I certainly felt special seeing how some 520 people a year for some 18 or so years knocked on his door looking to purchase the car. I guess they should have called first. I keep in contact with the previous owner keeping him up-to-date with the make over. He certainly fought hard to keep the car. And he really cut me a break at that price. So I feel at least some updates and ride when I’m done surly is in order. I have owned the car now for about a year and half. My projected date for completion is 2007.
